Fleeing Police 1st degree

Owensboro, KY. (April 17, 2017) – Kentucky State Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 1997 White Cadillac for traffic violations on Reid Road. When the Trooper initiated the traffic stop, the operator, later identified as Gregory Obryan, accelerated to a high rate of speed and led the Trooper on a short chase before losing control of his vehicle and striking a dirt pile. Mr. Obryan was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 1st degree (motor vehicle), Tampering with Physical Evidence, Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs 1st offense, Driving under the influence of drugs 3rd offense aggravating circumstances, Possession of Marijuana and Drug paraphernalia, Operating on a suspended driver’s license, Failure to register transfer of motor vehicle, and reckless driving. Obryan was also served an indictment warrant out of Daviess Circuit Court for drug charges. Obryan was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
