Vehicle Collision

Beech Grove, Ky. (September 10th, 2017) - Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision at the intersection of KY 56 and McGee Chapel Road near the community of Beech Grove. Troopers determined that 37 year old Santos N. Rivas Hernandez from Bowling Green was operating his 2016 Hyundai westbound on KY 56. Hernandez was approaching the intersection of McGee Church Road when he attempted to drive around a Semi truck that appeared to be stopped in the roadway. As Hernandez passed the semi began a left turn. Hernandez attempted to avoid a collision with the semi and swerved to the left entering a ditch. Hernandez and three passengers in his vehicle were taken to Methodist Hospital in Henderson to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Kentucky State Police was assisted by McClean County EMS and rescue squads 36 and 45.
