Trafficking In A Controlled Substance

Hartford, Ky. (Oct. 6, 2017)--The Kentucky State Police would like to offer periodic reminders to drivers who travel our roadways. Our agency strives daily to ensure the safety of the motoring public. Some of these proactive measures include various roadside safety checkpoints and saturating known problematic areas in the district through general patrol tactics.
Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by Jason Lee Peterson, 39, of Hartford. KY. Upon contact with Peterson, Troopers conducted an investigation and discovered suspected methamphetamine and other drug related paraphernalia. Peterson was arrested, transported to the Ohio County Detention Center, and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree / 2nd or Greater Offense - > or = 2 gms Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree / 2nd Offense – Methamphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia Buy / Possess, and Improper Equipment.
