Kentucky State Police Arrest Melber Man for Assault on Police Officer

MELBER, Ky. (June 27, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police Post 1 arrested a Melber man Saturday following a report of a domestic in progress. KSP responded to Michael Road in Graves County on June 24, 2017 at approximately 5:00 p.m. During the course of the investigation, Troopers took John D. Mahan, age 34, of Melber, Kentucky into custody.
Mahan was charged with Assault 3rd Degree on a Police Officer, two counts of Menacing, Resisting Arrest, and Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
Kentucky State Police were assisted on scene by the Graves County Sheriff Department.
