Kentucky State Police Seeking Man After Friday Shooting in Graves County

SYMSONIA, KY (November 11, 2017) – Kentucky State Police have obtained a warrant for a man involved in a Friday afternoon home invasion and shooting. At approximately 6:30 p.m., KSP responded to a residence on Bell Road in Symsonia, Kentucky for a report of shots fired. Upon the arrival of Troopers, it was determined the male involved had fled on foot.
Preliminary investigation has shown Douglas A. Becker, age 31, of Taylor, Texas, unlawfully entered a residence on Bell Road. Once inside the residence, he assaulted two people, held one against her will, and fired at least one shot from a firearm he had brought with him. No one at the residence required medical attention. One of the people from inside the residence called 911 and Becker fled on foot.
Kentucky State Police Troopers and Graves County Sheriff’s Deputies have attempted to locate Mr. Becker without success through the afternoon and night. An arrest warrant has been issued for Becker, charging him with numerous offenses to include Attempted Murder.
Douglas A. Becker is described as a white male, 5’10”, 155 lbs. with brown eyes and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans.
Becker is believed to still be in the area and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing Becker is asked to not approach him, but rather to immediately call 911.
