Single-Vehicle Fatality Collision on US 60, approximately 2.5 miles East of Marion, KY

Marion, KY. (March 11, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury collision that resulted in one fatality. The collision occurred approximately 2.5 miles east of Marion on US 60 at approximately 11:46 P.M.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Logan Bingham age 20, of Marion, KY was operating a 2004 Chevrolet passenger car traveling westbound on US 60. For an undetermined reason Mr. Bingham’s vehicle, ran off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree. Mr. Bingham was wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries on scene. There were no passengers in Mr. Bingham’s vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Cody Kromer. Trooper Kromer was assisted on scene by Trooper Jacob Stephens, Sergeant Craig Engler, the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department, the Marion Fire Department, the Kentucky Highway Department and the Crittenden County Coroner’s Office.
