Injury Collision on KY 601

GREENVILLE, KY. (March 10, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating an injury collision that occurred on KY 601, approximately three miles north of Greenville, on Friday, March 10, at 8:30 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Paige Stewart, 18, Greenville, was operating a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon southbound on KY 601. As Ms. Stewart was negotiating a curve, her vehicle hydroplaned. She lost control of the vehicle, exited the right shoulder of the roadway, and struck a ditch causing the vehicle to overturn.

Ms. Stewart, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Trooper Jerry Knight is investigating the collision. The Greenville Police Department, Greenville Fire Department, the Graham Volunteer Fire Department, and Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
