KSP Investigates Suspicious Devices Found in Todd County

Elkton, Ky.. (March 27, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police Post 2 is investigating two suspicious devices that were located at the Todd County Justice Center and the Todd County Sheriff Department.
KSP Post 2 Madisonville were contacted just before 8:00 a.m. in reference to a suspicious item that was found taped to the front doors of the Todd County Sheriff Department. While Troopers were headed to Elkton, a second device was found on the front door of the Todd County Justice Center.
The Kentucky State Police Hazardous Devices Unit was contacted and responded to the scene. Both devices were found to be non-hazardous and were collected as evidence.
A similar device was found at the Justice Center in Logan County, Kentucky. KSP Post 3 responded and that item was also deemed non-hazardous. The investigation is ongoing and Detectives from both Post 2 and Post 3 are working together on the case.
KSP Post 2 was assisted at the scene by the Elkton Police Department, Todd County Sheriff Department and Todd County EMS.
