KSP Post 2 June 2017 Activity Report

Madisonville, KY (July 03, 2017) – Captain Brent White, Commander KSP Post 2 Madisonville, reports the following activity for the month of June 2017:

  • Arrested 18 Impaired Drivers
  • Issued a Total of 1044 Citations
  • Issued 327 Speeding Citations
  • Issued 147 Seatbelt Citations
  • Issued 19 Child Restraint Citations
  • Issued 471 Courtesy Notices
  • Investigated 64 Traffic Crashes
  • Assisted 185 Stranded Motorists
  • Responded to 660 Calls for Service
  • Opened 52 Criminal Cases
  • Made 145 Criminal Arrests

**There were two fatal crashes that resulted in the loss of two lives reported in the Post 2 District in June 2017:

  • One, single fatality crash in Christian County at the 10mm on the Pennyrile Parkway
  • One, single fatality crash in Christian County at the 8500 block of Dawson Springs Road

Through June 30, 2017, there have been thirteen fatal crashes resulting in the loss of thirteen lives reported in the Post 2 District.

  • Five were not wearing their seat belts
  • Six were wearing their seat belts
  • One was wearing a helmet
  • One was unknown

Through June 30, 2016, there were eighteen fatal crashes resulting in the loss of twenty lives in the Post 2 District.

Post 2 serves the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.

**These statistics are still preliminary as KSP waits for all local law enforcement agencies throughout the state to report any crashes and fatalities that may have occurred in their areas
