Louisville Woman arrested on Western Kentucky Parkway

Graham, KY. (Muhlenberg County) – On Friday, July 22, 2017, at approximately 12:53 P.M. on the Wendell H. Ford Western Kentucky Parkway, Trooper Cornett of Post 02 Madisonville observed a light blue 2008 Kia Spectra traveling westbound at 94 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. Trooper Cornett conducted a traffic stop on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
Operating the vehicle was 52 year old, Kathy Pike of Louisville, KY. Pike was found to be under the influence of drugs and was arrested. Pike advised Trooper Cornett that there was methamphetamine and alprazolam pills in her purse. These items were located in the vehicle and seized as evidence. Pike was arrested and transported to the Muhlenberg County Detention Center in Greenville, KY, where she was lodged for the following charges:
- Speeding 24 MPH Over Limit (Limited Access)
- Improper Use of Left Lane
- Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
- Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs – 1st Offense
- Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified)
