UPDATE on Murder Indictment, Arrest Made in Hardyville Shooting Investigation

Hardyville(May 4, 2017)- The shooting investigation that occurred at a residence located at 507 North Jackson Highway, was presented again to a Hart County Grand Jury after 57 year old Christopher Holder succumbed to injuries sustained from the initial gunshot wound, which occurred on November 23, 2016. An indictment was returned on 53 year old Albert E. Stephens of Glasgow, charging him with one count of Murder.

Mr. Stephens was arrested and served the Hart County Indictment warrant by Troopers with Kentucky State Police, Post 3. He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center

The investigation is still ongoing, and is being led by Detective Jeremy Hodges. No other information is available for release at this time.

Hardyville(February 10, 2017)- The shooting investigation that occurred on November 23, 2016 at a residence at 507 North Jackson Highway in Hart County that resulted in the shooting of 57 year old Christopher Holder was presented to the Hart County Grand Jury by the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green this week. An Indictment was returned on 53 year old Albert E. Stephens of Glasgow charging him with Assault 1stDegree.

Mr. Stephens was arrested and served the Hart County Indictment warrant by the Glasgow Police Department on February 7, 2017 where he was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.

Mr. Holder is still in hospital care at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries sustained from the shooting.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Detective Jeremy Hodges. No other information is available for release at this time.

First Update Release - Shooting Investigation in Hart County

Hardyville(November 23, 2016)- At approximately 1941 hours, the Kentucky State Police Post in Bowling Green received a call for service in reference to a shooting at 507 North Jackson Highway in Hardyville. Upon arrival of KSP Troopers, Christopher Holder (57) of Cave City, was located at the property with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Holder was later transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing and being led by Detective Jeremy Hodges. No other details are available for release at this time.
