KSP Post 6 Dry Ridge Welcomes three New Supervisors

Dry Ridge, KY -Master Trooper Joseph “Joe” Veeneman, a 20 year veteran of KSP, promoted to Sergeant on January 1, 2017, and transferred from Morehead, Post 8 to Dry Ridge, Post 6. He is from LaGrange, KY, where he attended Owen County High School. He went on to attend Eastern Kentucky University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Police Administration. He attended the KSP Academy in 1996 and was assigned to the Morehead, Post 8. He received the Post 8 Trooper of the year award in 2000. He has two children, Quentin and Lexi.

Trooper First Class Jonathan Dixon, a 12 year veteran of KSP, promoted to Sergeant on January 1, 2017, and transferred from Pikeville, Post 9 to Dry Ridge, Post 6. He is from Prestonsburg, KY where he attended Prestonsburg High School. He went on to attend Big Sandy Community College where he received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. He attended the KSP Academy in 2004 and was assigned to Frankfort, Post 12. He was awarded the 2009 Governor’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Award in 2009.

Senior Trooper Donald B. White, an 8 year veteran of KSP, promoted to Sergeant on January 1, 2017, and transferred from Hazard, Post 13 to Dry Ridge, Post 6. He is from Hindman, KY, where he attended Knot County High School. He went on to attend Hazard Community and Technical College where he earned an Associate’s of Arts degree before transferring to Eastern Kentucky University to study Criminal Justice and Police Administration. He attended the KSP Academy in 2008 and was assigned to the Hazard Post. He has a son, Garrett.
