Kentucky State Police Memorial Service Honoring Fallen Troopers

KSP will start at Hillcrest Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. then to Forest Lawn Cemetery in Erlanger around 10:30 a.m. and then to Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate around 11:30 a.m. Below are the locations. You are welcome to come out and honor our fallen Troopers.
Tpr. Joe Ward Jr
4561 Dixie Hwy, Dry Ridge, KY. Just south of Post
Age 25, died April 23, 1973, after being struck and killed by a vehicle while working an collision in Hopkins County. Trooper Ward was assigned to Post 2 Madisonville and was a four year veteran of KSP. A section of US 25 is designated as Trooper Joe Ward Memorial Hwy in his honor.
Final resting place-go straight back the main drive until you get to traffic island just prior to the lake (on left) resting place in in first row just prior to the traffic island on right hand side of drive
Tpr. Robert R. Miller
Forest Lawn Cemetery
3227 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, Ky
Age 24, was fatally injured Feb 14, 1951 in an automobile collision while responding to a call for assistance in Boone County. He was assigned to Post 6 and had served KSP for three years. A section of US 25 in Kenton County is designated as Trooper Robert Miller Memorial Hwy in his honor.
Final resting place, middle section of cemetery. go to the rear drive of the cemetery near the garage, if you park near the garage section will be to your left. Final resting place is several rows in, look for larger headstone with the name Ward on it, Trooper Ward resting place is next row up toward Dixie Hwy.
Tpr. Herbert Bush
25 Alexandria Pike, Southgate/Newport, KY
Age 28, was fatally injured Oct 11, 1958 when an automobile struck his patrol car while he was in pursuit of a speeding vehicle. He was assigned to Post 7 Richmond and had served KSP for one year and four months. A section of US 27 in Pendleton County is designated Trooper Herbert Bush Memorial Hwy in his honor.
Final resting place is in section 52 of cemetery, which is located toward the back near the flag poles, go around the poles until you see section 52 on right hand side, go to section maker, ,then go straight down the hill about 3 rows ( half way down the hill) final rest place should be just to you left .
