KSP Investigates Wolfe County Fatal Accident - Two Campton Men Killed

Campton, Ky. (May 17, 2017) - On Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at approximately 5:38 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead were called and asked to respond to a report of a fatal traffic accident in the Campton city limits at the junction of KY15 and KY191 (Main Street). Jonathan M. Miller, 27 of Campton, was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu with passenger Dylan R. Spencer, 21 of Campton. Mr. Miller was traveling south bound on KY15 when he disregarded a traffic control device that was signaling red and entered the intersection where he was struck on the passenger side of the vehicle by a commercial vehicle operated by Timothy Eitniear, 55 of Hazard. Jonathan miller and Dylan R. Spencer sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and were pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin was notified by the Wolfe County Coroner. Timothy Eitniear sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Brandon Burton.
