KSP Investigates Robbery in Pike County

PHELPS, KY(November 23, 2017) In the evening hours of Thursday, November 23, 2017, Post 9 Pikeville received a 911 call of a robbery at the Phelps Double Kwik in the Phelps Community of Pike County. Troopers responded to the scene and determined that an unknown male entered the business and approached the clerk. The subject brandished a firearm and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of money was removed from the cash register. The male fled the service station on foot in an unknown direction. The male was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and sunglasses. The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for any information relating to this case, and can call the Kentucky State Police Post 09 at (606) 433-7711. Callers can remain anonymous.
This incident remains under investigation by KSP Trooper Michael Coleman.
