Through January 5, 2015, preliminary statistics* indicate that 665 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2014. This 27 (27) more than the same that was reported for the same time period in 2013.
Through January 5, 2015, there has been nineteen (19) persons killed in the Post 10 District: four (4) victims were not wearing seatbelt, ten (10) victims were wearing seatbelt, two (2) victims seatbelt were unknown, one (1) victim was not wearing a helmet (ATV), one (1) victim was a bicycle and, one (1) victim was a pedestrian. Two (2) fatality crashes involved the suspected use of alcohol.
