| Through April 23, 2013, preliminary statistics* indicate that 160 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2013. This forty-four (44) less than was reported for the same time period in 2012. | |||
| In the Post Twelve there has been six (6) motor vehicle fatalities and three (3) victims were not wearing a seat belt and three (3) victims were wearing a seat belt. Three (3) crashes involved a motorcycle and two (2) victims were wearing a helmet and one (1) victim was not wearing a helmet. One (1) crash involved a bicycle. Five (5) deaths have resulted from crashes involving the suspected use of alcohol. | |||
