Through May 10, 2016, preliminary statistics* indicate that two hundred and forty (240) people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2016. This eighteen (18) more than the same that was reported for the same time period in 2015.
Through May 10, 2016, there has been eight (8) persons killed in the Post 7 District: two (2) victim were not wearing a seatbelt, two (2) victims were wearing a seatbelt, one (1) victim seatbelt was unknown and one (1) victim was not wearing a helmet (motorcycle) and two (2) victims were a pedestrian. Three (3) fatality crashes involved the suspected use of alcohol.
