Through April 26, 2016, preliminary statistics* indicate that two hundred fourteen (214) people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2016. This nineteen (19) more than the same that was reported for the same time period in 2015.
Through April 26, 2016, there has been eleven (11) persons killed in the Post 9 District: eight (8) victims were not wearing a seatbelt, (1) victim was wearing a seatbelt, one (1) victim seatbelt was unknown and one (1) victim was a pedestrian. Two (2) fatality crashes involved the suspected use of alcohol.
