Kentucky State Police Post 8 located in Morehead is under the acting command of Lt. Merrell Harrison. Lt. Harrison received his KSP commission in November of 1991 and was appointed Post 8 acting commander in August of 2009.

Start out going North on US-460 towards KY-7 by turning right.
Stay straight to go onto KY-7.
Stay straight to go onto KY-519. Take KY-519 approximately 22 miles.
Turn RIGHT onto US-60.
Turn Right onto KY-32 S.
From Beattyville, Kentucky -
Get on the BERT T. COMBS MOUNTAIN PARKWAY WEST.
Take the KY-15/KY-82 exit- exit number 16- towards KY-11/CLAY CITY/MT STERLING.
Turn RIGHT onto KY-15.
KY-15 becomes KY-15/WINCHESTER RD.
KY-15/WINCHESTER RD becomes KY-15.
Turn LEFT onto KY-11.
KY-11 becomes KY-11/BLACK CREEK RD.
KY-11/BLACK CREEK RD becomes KY-11.
Turn LEFT onto KY-686 N.
Turn LEFT onto US-460.
Take I-64 E. Travel approximately 27 miles on I-64.
Take the KY-32 exit- exit number 137- towards FLEMINGSBURG / MOREHEAD. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp.
Merge onto KY-32 S.
