Felony Arrest in Greenup County

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a Greenup County resident following an extensive investigation by the Kentucky State Police. Jeremy Shane Fields, age 30 of Greenup, KY has been charged with Sodomy 3rd Degree after he unlawfully engaged in illegal sexual activity with a minor under the age of 16 years. The victim's mother reported the incident to the Kentucky State Police Post 14. Fields was arrested without incident at his residence and is currently lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center. Additional charges are pending after the case is presented to the Greenup County Grand Jury.
