Fatal Collision on US 431 in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 05/14/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - Tiffany L. Boyd was operating a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound on US 431 in the limits of Drakesboro when it appears her vehicle hydroplaned on the wet roadway. The vehicle exited off the left shoulder of the roadway. Ms. Boyd overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle exited off the left side of the roadway again and overturned twice ejecting Ms. Boyd. The vehicle came to rest on its top off the left shoulder of the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner, Tony Armour. Ms. Boyd was not wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
