Drug Arrest in Christian County

Madisonville, KY - Troopers received a tip that a strong chemical smell was coming from a residence on Mannington Loop. Troopers arrived at the residence and obtained a search warrant. A trailer next to the residence was searched and inside an active meth lab was located along with drug paraphernalia used to smoke meth. Jason Merrell was arrested without incident. While Troopers were obtaining the search warrant Merrells' father Mark Merrell pulled up to the residence in his vehicle. He was arrested for driving under the influence, menacing, and resisting arrest. Jason Merrell was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Meth), Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor. He was lodged into the Christian County Jail.
