Update to the Death Investigation of a Small Child in McCreary County

Date of News Release: 10/19/11

(LONDON, KY.) –- On Wednesday, October 19, 2011 the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, was notified that the small child found deceased in the Laurel Creek Resevoir in McCreary County, KY has been identified as Gage Max Williams.

The preliminary cause of death has been determined as accidental drowning.

Death Investigation of a Small Child in McCreary County

Date of News Release: 10/18/11

(LONDON, KY.) –- On Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at approximately 6:55 PM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, was notified that a small child was found deceased in the Laurel Creek Reservoir just north of Ed Branscum Road in the Pine Knot Community of McCreary County, KY.

No foul play is suspected at this time.

Positive identification and exact cause of death will be pending the outcome of an autopsy.

KSP Detective Billy Correll is conducting the investigation into the death of the child and was assisted at the scene by numerous agencies from McCreary, Whitley, Pulaski and Wayne Counties.
