Shooting Investigation on Coal Hollow Road in Clay County

Date of News Release: 11/19/11

(LONDON, KY.) –- On Saturday, November 19, 2011 at approximately 5:04 AM, the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report, from the Clay County 911 Center, of a shooting incident in an apartment complex parking lot on Coal Hollow Road in Clay County.

Upon arrival Trooper John Barnett contacted the male victim who stated he was standing in the parking lot when he heard a gunshot in the distance. The victim stated he then felt a burning sensation in his foot and discovered a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated and released from the Manchester Memorial Hospital with a minor injury.

No suspects have been indentified and no arrests have been made at this time.

KSP Trooper Barnett is continuing the investigation and was assisted by officers from the Manchester Police Deaprtment and the Clay County EMS.
