Patton Blevins was lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center.
West Liberty, Ky. (September 18, 2019) — On September 17, 2019, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Patton M. Blevins, 35, on charges related to promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance.
Blevins was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect communicating with a juvenile online and directing the child to produce files of child sexual exploitation.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in West Liberty on September 17, 2019. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Blevins is currently charged with one count of promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance. Each count is a Class-B felony punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison. Blevins was also charged with ten counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor. Each count is a Class-D felony punishable by 1-5 years in prison. He was lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center.
