MAYFIELD, Ky. (Oct. 17, 2022) – On Saturday, Oct. 15 at approximately 6:00 p.m. CT, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 received a call from the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Mayfield Youth Development Center reporting a physical altercation between juveniles at the facility. Once troopers arrived on scene, juveniles complied with orders and returned to their living units. One juvenile was transported to the local hospital for injuries sustained during the altercation.

As a result of the investigation, KSP charged one juvenile with (1) count of assault, 2nd degree.  The juvenile was transported to the DJJ McCracken County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
