KSP Detective Billy Correll is continuing the investigation.
London, Ky. (June 27, 2019) – On Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at approximately 7:21 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a call from McCreary County 911 about a possible shooting that had taken place at a residence on Old State Garage Road in the Stearns community of McCreary County.
Troopers arrived on scene and located Larissa Cox, 48, of Stearns deceased of an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the McCreary County Coroner’s Office.
During the course of the investigation, KSP Detectives determined Cox had been shot by her daughter’s boyfriend, Preston T. Clark, 20, of Stearns during an altercation.
Clark was arrested at the scene and charged with Murder and was lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.
Cox’s body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy that has been scheduled for Friday.
