TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. (January 30, 2023) –On January 29,  at approximately 4:30 PM, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 12 received a burglary in progress complaint in the area of Highgrove Road in Spencer County.  Two male subjects were seen fleeing the residence before troopers arrived. When troopers arrived, two male subjects were located and  identified as Kevin Porter and Timothy Broyles of Jefferson County.  Both were arrested and lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.

Charges are as follows:

Kevin Porter is charged with Burglary 1st, Possession of Burglary Tools, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Fleeing and Evading 1st on foot, and Receiving Stolen Property Over $10,000.00.

Timothy Broyles is charged with Fleeing and Evading 1st on Foot, Resisting Arrest, Burglary 1st, Possession of Burglary Tools, Criminal Mischief 1st, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Receiving Stolen Property Over $10,000.00.
