Update: (June 8, 2019) – Richard Dickerson, the man wanted in connection to a home invasion and assault was arrested Saturday morning. Kentucky State Police Post 13 investigators received information that Dickerson was at a residence on Mulberry Lane in the Wooton community. KSP Post 13 personnel responded to the residence with the KSP Special Response Team which was activated to assist with the attempted apprehension of Richard Dickerson.
Richard Dickerson was located at a residence on Mulberry Lane and was taken into custody without incident. He was lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center charged with Assault 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree. The owner of the residence, 60 year old Chester Collett of Wooton was arrested, charged with one count of Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension 2nd Degree and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Update: Investigators with Kentucky State Police Post 13 are attempting to locate a man in relation to a burglary and assault incident on May 19, 2019 in the Confluence community of Leslie County. Information obtained through this investigation has led Post 13 Detectives to obtain a warrant for the arrest of 51 year old Richard G. Dickerson for Assault 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Richard Dickerson is asked to contact KSP Post 13 at 606-435-6069. Callers may remain anonymous. Dickerson should be considered armed and dangerous, and the public is urged not to approach him if he is observed. Richard Dickerson is described as being a white male who is 6 feet tall and weighs around 198 pounds. He has blue eyes and is bald.

Confluence, Ky. (May 19, 2019) – An unknown intruder gained entry to a home in the Confluence community of Leslie County early Sunday morning and shot at the occupants after being detected, seriously injuring one of them. Troopers and detectives with Kentucky State Police Post 13 were called to a residence on Mosley Bend Road just after 3:00 a.m., after Leslie County EOC advised of a possible shooting there. Lifeguard Ambulance, Leslie County Sheriff’s Office and Hyden Police Department also responded.
The initial investigation determined that a male and female awoke to an unknown male subject inside their residence. The unknown intruder fired shots at them causing serious injuries to the woman. The intruder then fled the scene on an ATV in an unknown direction. The injured victim was transported to a medical center for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries.
