WURTLAND, Ky. (June 30, 2023) –  On June 30, 2023, The Kentucky State Police, Post 14 received a call from Greenup County 911 in reference to a fatality accident that occurred on Tom Road in Wurtland, Ky.    Trooper Hartsell arrived on scene and through his investigation, it appears Alisa Vallance DOB:8-20-65 was riding a side by side on private property.  As the side by side was going up an incline, it stalled and began to roll backwards.  As it was rolling backwards, the side by side then flipped over on its side and landed on Mrs. Vallance.  Mrs. Vallance was pronounced deceased on the scene by Greenup County Coroner.  The Kentucky State Police was assisted by Russell Fire Department, KDMC paramedics, Flatwoods Fire Department and Greenup County Coroner Office.  The case remains under investigation by Trooper Hartsell.
