Benjamin McKinney was lodged in the Casey County Detention Center.
Liberty, KY (March 26, 2019) – On March 23rd, 2019 at approximately 11:09 PM CST Trooper Billy Begley was on routine patrol four miles west of Middleburg on Short Town Rd when he initiated a traffic stop on a 2003 Chevy Impala for a traffic violation. Consent to search the vehicle was given resulting in Trooper Begley locating digital scales and a small plastic container with suspected methamphetamine inside of it. Benjamin McKinney, age 35 of Liberty, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (drug unspecified), and possession of drug paraphernalia. McKinney was lodged in the Casey County Detention Center.
