Operator Was Not Wearing Seatbelt; Ejected From Vehicle

 BEAVER DAM, Ky. (September 8, 2018)–Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a single vehicle fatality collision in the 500 block of Mine Fork Road in Ohio County just after noon Saturday.

Preliminary investigation reveals Jeremy L. Buchanan, 37 of McHenry was traveling northbound in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix when a deer entered his path. He attempted to avoid striking the deer but lost control. Buchanan’s vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a tree. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.

Buchanan was pronounced dead on-scene by Ohio County Coroner’s Office.

Ohio County Coroner’s Office, Ohio County Ambulance Service and Beaver Dam Fire Department assisted KSP at the scene.
