Central City, KY. –On Saturday, January 22, 2022 Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 received a call of an assault involving an off-duty Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Deputy.

KSP Troopers and a Sergeant responded and opened an investigation. The investigation resulted in KSP charging Jeremy Mahan, age 41, of Greenville, KY with strangulation 1st degree, terroristic threatening 3rd degree, and wanton endangerment 2nd degree.

The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted by KSP Post 2.
