Earlington, Ky. (Hopkins County) – On February 29, 2020 at approximately 9:08 PM, Trooper Ridge Porter of Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, Observed a 1995 Ford Mustang operating carelessly on N Sandcut Road.
Trooper Porter initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, where the operator was identified as Timothy Starks, age 38, of Earlington, Ky. Further investigation revealed Starks was under the influence, and in possession of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Timothy Starks was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center, where he was charged with the following:
- Careless Driving
- DUI 1st
- Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Marijuana
- Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
