Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) – On March 8, 2019, at approximately 3:42 PM, the Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville received a call of a two vehicle collision that occurred around the 52 mile marker, westbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
Preliminary investigation revealed Dwayne Love, age 40, of Bainbridge, GA, was operating a 2013 Kenworth tractor with semi-trailer-in-tow, westbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway. Eric Mann, age 30, of Hopkinsville, KY, was operating a 2014 Dodge Ram Promaster van westbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway when, for an unknown reason, his vehicle crashed into the rear of Mr. Love’s semi-trailer.
Mr. Mann was flown via helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Love was transported via ambulance to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Justin Cornett.
Trooper Cornett was assisted at the scene by Trooper Austin Cornett, Graham Fire and Rescue, Central City fire Department, Wendell H. Ford Fire and Rescue, Owensboro Health Muhlenberg EMS, and PHI Air Medical.
