Allensville, Ky. (Todd County) – Around 10:10 PM on August 12, 2021, Troopers were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint on US 79 in Todd County. A vehicle driven by a female, later identified as Cindy Ngo, came through the checkpoint without stopping. Troopers Justin Cornette and Kirby Broadbent caught up to the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle accelerated and continued North on US 79 for 9 miles before losing control in a curve and overturning.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle by Logan County Rescue and transported to the Logan County Hospital. She was treated and released for minor injuries and lodged in the Todd County Jail.
Cindy Ngo, 45, of Grand Rapids, MI was charged with DUI 1st offense, Fleeing or Evading 1st degree, wanton endangerment 1st degree, and several traffic offenses. She is also being held on a warrant out of Sumner County Tennessee stemming from an incident where she had fled from Deputies earlier in the day.
