MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 30, 2023) – At approximately 12:40 P.M. today, the Madisonville Police Department located and apprehended Charles A. Woodward. Woodward was charged with Escape 2nd Degree and is currently lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 17, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 2, in Madisonville, was contacted just after 6:00 P.M. today by the Hopkins County Detention Center regarding an escaped inmate.

The initial investigation alleges Charles A Woodward, 41 years old of Madisonville, KY, escaped custody from a work release program. Woodward was assigned work release at Madisonville Tire and Retreading. He was last seen at approximately 3:00 P.M. on August 17, 2023. He is described as being 6’1” tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a gray Madisonville Tire uniform with gray pants, and a white undershirt.  Woodward has multiple tattoos on both arms.

Woodward was serving a sentence for two counts of Burglary and three counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking.
