Glasgow, Ky. (November 30, 2022) – On Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 just after 3:30 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green was requested by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office to investigate an injury collision in Barren County. Troopers responded to the scene of the collision located near the 7000 block of North Jackson Highway (US 31-E).

Preliminary investigation indicates that Wanda W. Cross, 71 of Cave City, was operating a 2008 Chevrolet passenger car south on US 31-E near the 7000 block. Cross’s vehicle, for unknown reasons, crossed the center line and struck a 1988 Toyota pickup being operated northbound by Joie Hunley, 78, of Hiseville.  Mrs. Cross was ejected from her vehicle and later pronounced deceased by the Barren County Coroners Office.

The investigation is being led by Trooper Michael Wathen. He was assisted at the scene by Barren County EMS, Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren County Coroner, and KSP personnel.
