Russellville, Ky. (June 15, 2023) – On Wednesday, June 14th, 2023 just before 12:00 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green was requested by the Russellville Police Department to investigate a fatal collision in Logan County. Troopers responded to the scene of the collision located on East 9th Street near Dockins Street.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Anthony Blomquist, 34, of Bowling Green was operating a 2005 Toyota Highlander in the eastbound lane of East 9th Street. For unknown reasons Blomquist’s vehicle crossed into the westbound lane of travel, colliding with a commercial tractor and trailer being operated by Khurshedjon Mustofoev, 55, of Brooklyn, NY. Blomquist was transported by EMS to Logan Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased by the Logan County Coroner.

The investigation is being led by Trooper Mike Wathen. He was assisted at the scene by Logan County EMS, Russellville Police Department, Logan County Coroner, and KSP personnel.
