NEWPORT, Ky. (April 13, 2023) – Robert Day has been taken into custody in West Chester Ohio last night around 11:00 p.m.

NEWPORT, Ky. (April 12, 2023) – On Wednesday, at approximately 3:30 pm, Kentucky State Police were called to investigate the escape of an inmate from the Campbell County Detention Center in Newport, Ky.

Robert L. Day, age 35, of Bellevue, Ky. escaped from the Campbell County Detention Center on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at approximately 3:10 pm. Robert Day was on a work release program at the detention center when he escaped. Robert Day was last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jean pants.

Currently there is no information on potential locations or route.
