WINCHESTER, Ky. (Sept. 6, 2022) — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been requested by KSP Post 7 Richmond to investigate a pedestrian-involved crash that occurred on Sept. 6, 2022, at approximately 10:43 a.m. EST in Clark County.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a pedestrian received life-threatening injuries when he stepped into the path of a vehicle traveling east on Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway at the 4-mile marker. The vehicle involved in the collision is registered to KSP.

The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
