Owingsville, Ky. (September 20, 2022) – On September 17, 2022, Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead received a call for assistance from Bath County Dispatch with a single vehicle fatal collision. Through the investigation, Troopers determined Ronald Carmichael, 41 years of age from Owingsville, Ky., was traveling west on KY 36 in Bath County. Mr. Carmichael was operating a 2016 Nissan Frontier when he left the roadway striking a tree. Jesse sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene by Bath County Coroner Andrew Owens. Kentucky State Police was assisted by Bath County Sheriff’s Department, Bath County EMS and Bath County Fire and Rescue. This collision remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Morehead.
