Staffordsville KY (October 26, 2019) Kentucky State Police Post 09 has opened a death investigation with one fatality in a structure fire on Grassy Creek in Johnson County.

Just before 5:00 AM, Post 09 received a 911 advising of a fatal house fire on Grassy Creek in the Staffordsville community. A Detective was dispatched to the scene along with a Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator.

During the preliminary investigation the victim Marvin D. Saylor (62) YOA of Grassy Creek was discovered in the residence and pronounced deceased by Johnson County Coroner JR Frisby.
