The Pike County Coroner’s office pronounced one person deceased at the scene.
Fedscreek, KY (July 25, 2018) Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post 09, are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on KY RT. 366 in the Fedscreek community.
Just after noon Kentucky State Police Post 09 received a 911 call of a two vehicle crash on KY RT. 366 involving a motorcycle.
The Pike County Coroner’s office pronounced one person deceased at the scene.
Troopers and emergency responders are on scene working to determine the cause of this crash.
More details will be released as they become available.
Update (July 25, 2018) As the investigation continues in this crash it has been determined the motorcycle operated by John Mollett from Jones Fork crossed the center line and struck a pickup heading eastbound. As a result of the crash Mollett was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s office.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, and no charges have been made in the case.
The crash is under the investigation of Trooper Daniel Saylor.
UPDATE (July 30, 2018) The operator of the vehicle in this crash Cassie Tomblin from Logan County West Virginia and her two children were transported to the hospital with non-life threating injuries. This investigation remains open.
