Scottsville, KY (March 4, 2018)- The Kentucky State Police Post 3, Bowling Green received a call of a two vehicle injury collision at 10:45 this morning, which had occurred near the 12000 block of Franklin Road in Allen County.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department had received an initial report of the collision at 9:39 a.m., and had requested assistance from Troopers with Post 3.
The preliminary investigation indicated that Leslie A. Adams (27) of Franklin, KY was operating a 2006 Chevrolet HHR passenger car, and was traveling westbound on Franklin Road when she approached a hillcrest. An uninvolved vehicle, located ahead of Adams, was stationary in the westbound lane awaiting a left hand turn onto New Roe Road. Adams steered to avoid a collision, and her vehicle entered into the eastbound lanes, striking a 2012 Chrysler 200 in a “head-on” manner. It was being operated by Barrett A. Wright (42) of Bowling Green.
Leslie Adams was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital via medical helicopter, where she succumbed to injuries at 12:15 p.m. Barrett Wright and a passenger, Larissa Harris (42) of Franklin, were treated and released from a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.
The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper Ashcon Karbasi. He was assisted on the scene by Allen County Sheriff’s Department, Allen County EMS, Air Methods, Scottsville Fire Department, and Stony Point Fire Department. No further information is available for release at this time.
